Paralyzed

Why is it that the simplest of tasks; from paying bills before they come due, to returning an item to the store within a few days of making the decision that I don't really want it (or need another size, color, unbroken version, etc.), to returning a phone call or email within 24-48 hours of receiving it, to folding or putting away the seemingly endless piles of laundry, to making myself some lunch, or getting up from my computer to pee, etc. all seem so painfully difficult to handle?

What am I really avoiding when I find myself paralyzed by the minutia of my daily life? And why?

If you have any ideas, please let me know. Because it's starting to get on my last nerve.

1) Love the image you chose to go with this post.
2) Procrastination is killer. Especially when you avoid the minutia in the hopes that something better, more exciting, *something* will come along and rescue you from the boredom.
or 3) It's just darn BORING. When I get motivated to get all the crap done, I try to set aside one day to get just "git 'er done". Then I build up momentum from all the things that I am getting done.
4) Just think of all the money you will save by paying bills on time and returning items you don't need. That's usually enough incentive for me. I HATE paying late (and occasionally reconnection) fees.

Now go outside, enjoy the day, and set aside an hour to do the boring stuff tonight. Or first thing in the morning.
