Three Can #Suckit

Sweet Jeebus!

Coming up w/ a healthy lunch for my kid every day so she can take it to school in her cute little pink & green lunchbox (okay, it's not really a "box" per se, it's more of a canvas lunch bag, but you get the idea) is freaking HARD.

Oh hell, who am I kidding? Feeding this kid for any meal is hard. She doesn't eat. She hates everything I make her, even if she asked for it just 5 seconds ago. She doesn't want to drink anything either. She doesn't like juice. She doesn't want chocolate milk, so forget about regular milk! Water is rarely acceptable, unless it is in a sippy cup, no a drinking fountain, no a glass, no a sippy cup. And G-d forbid I ask her if she has to go pee, or poop, or to come over here right now before you get a spanking b/c I'm counting to three missy so come here right now instead of running down the block away from me you little stinker of an obstinate $#%^* child o'mine ...

Her answer is always a resounding ...

"NO!"

Also, her repeated NO's are almost always accompanied by maniacal fits of laughter &/or an evil grin that puts the very Devil's to shame.

Whomever it was that said the 2's were terrible? Yeah, they totally lied.

Hands down, the 3's are way worse. Worse still? She won't even be three until June people! I'm so screwed.

Oh man, I remember those days.

I could tell you it'll get better, but I'm guessing that's not what you want to hear.

Maybe I'll just offer you a big long-distance hug.

Thanks Thea! I appreciate the hugs. I think really, that's what I need most on the "bad" or "difficult" days. Just an ear, and a hug. :-)

So the 2's are terrible... It's hard to imagine such a cutie little face conjuring an evil grin though.

Hang in there, dude. I was Satan's spawn til I was 19 and now I'm a rule abiding mostly upstanding lady. Kinda. :p

It's always a contest of wills - especially with little girls. she's just seeing how far she can push you.

you may get lucky. Tween hit her terrible two's at 17 months, was over them by 22 months.

Gemini children are ... different. :) They cannot make up their minds ... but once they learn that this is not a BAD thing all the time, they learn to control it ... and your life will become easier.

Hang in, mama ... the sweet smiles will be what you see most ...

Devyl - that's exactly what it is. Girlfriend can't make up her mind. Which I understand, being a Pisces and all. ;-)

That's so funny, Jack is driving me NUTS with the "NO!" for EVERYTHING!! (Mary's little guy I watch full time). He's 21/2, she must really be screwed if he starts the 3's this early!! LOL! I just keep trying to ignore and give LOTS of attention to the good behaviors.

Hugs.....this does pass, and I must have blocked this stage with all my kids! I don't remember this! Colleen
