Yo bitches! Raining on my parade ain't cool.

Photobucket

I've spent the last year or so dealing with a LOT of loss ... but this evening I had a rare moment of hope, excitement, promise, etc. for making an offer on a house that I can transform into something that is utterly mine.

So, in my excitement I foolishly emailed some images & the MLS listing to a few friends/family in the hopes they might share a little of my giddiness - even though I fully admitted that the house is a 1950's mess. At the very least, maybe they could say something supportive like, "Good luck Cher!"

But instead they just pissed all over it.

Thanks gang. I'll try to remember to rain on YOUR parade the next time you get stoked about something. Here's a tip; even if you think I'm the dumbest asshole on earth (or that my idea is 100% hair brained as hell), please just STFU for 5 minutes & let me be happy.

Okaythanksbye.

You know though, sometimes people can't see the diamond in the rough. When we bought our first house, we kind of got that same reaction... it was a 1930's spanish style... and with some elbow grease and a little cosmetic updating that joint rocked. SO go for it sister! If it felt like home... it probably is :)

I emailed you earlier, wow, I thought it was great, really. The views are what sold me. Looks like that house has good bones.

Regarding friends and family, I find many times they may worried for you, kwim? Maybe because they know it's a big purchase, especially if you are moving away?

But still, yeah, it would be nice to give you some support and trust your judgement.

Heck, at that price, that's a bargain compared to living in CA, right LOL?
Good luck with everything!

You're gonna have a house warming party right? And invite your SoCal gf's right? :)

I hope you and Dex get a chance to experience San Juan Islands in between renovating.

I hate the weather up there 9 months out of the year, but summer rocks.

ENJOY!

Unless someone was being mean, I'm sure that every one of your friends is just concerned and wants the best for you and Dex.

IMHO (and I'm often wrong) you're being a bit of a dork with this post.
